COMPANY BACKGROUND

The Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH), set up as a subsidiary of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 aims to foster and evangelise innovation across the financial sector to enable access to frictionless finance for a billion Indians. As part of its mission, the Hub leverages technology to foster innovation keeping the customer at the centre. The Hub utilises its unique position to accelerate technological innovation by facilitating meaningful collaboration between banks, innovators, entrepreneurs, fintech firms, startups, and other key stakeholders.

TITLE:  Data Checker

BACKGROUND OF THE ROLE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and diligent Data Integrity Analyst (Fintech Repository) to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the Fintech repository data. You will be responsible for reviewing user applications and submitted information, conducting thorough investigations, and making informed decisions on user approvals.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review user applications: Analyse user-submitted information in the application form, including company details, regulatory licenses, product/service descriptions, and any other relevant data.
  • Data Verification: Utilize your research skills to cross-check the submitted information against various public databases and websites, such as MCA filings, RBI master lists, and financial news platforms.
  • Identify inconsistencies: Flag and investigate any discrepancies, missing information, or potential inaccuracies in the user data.
  • Decision-making: Based on your analysis and verification, recommend approval or rejection of user applications, following defined guidelines and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Maintain documentation: Record your findings, justifications, and actions taken for each application for future reference and audit purposes.
  • Contribute to data quality: Identify trends and patterns in inaccurate or incomplete data submissions and suggest improvements to user application forms and verification processes.
  • Stay informed: Remain updated on regulatory changes, market trends, and relevant fintech developments to ensure informed decision-making.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 years of experience, with extensive expertise in Data management skills, Version control systems.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Age and Nationality

The applicant should be an Indian citizen, with a maximum age of 30 years as of December 31, 2023.

Term

The appointment will be on a contract basis with an initial term of 3 years and extendable on mutual consent.
