The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) set up the Innovation Hub (Termed: RBIH), to promote innovation across the financial sector. The Hub will leverage technology and help create an environment that would facilitate and foster innovation.

RBIH will collaborate with financial sector institutions, the technology industry, and academic institutions to coordinate efforts for the exchange of ideas and the development of prototypes related to financial innovation.

The Hub will help develop internal infrastructure to promote FinTech research and facilitate engagement with innovators and start-ups.


We are looking for a Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager to join our team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for shaping the external image and internal communication strategy of our innovative financial services start up. You will be responsible for devising and executing comprehensive communication plans that align with the organization’s objectives and contribute to its growth and reputation.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Proven experience of 8-10 years in leading marketing function in the BFSI sector.
  • Expertise in corporate communication and stakeholder engagement strategies
  • Strong understanding of media relations, crisis including active management of social media handles, white papers, publications etc.
  • Drive brand relevance, consistency and engagement across all the touch points.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and messages tailored to different audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and strategic thinking, with a track record of driving successful communication initiatives.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic start up environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Implement Communication Strategy:

  •  Devise and execute a robust communication strategy aligned with the company’s vision, mission and values.
  • Work closely with senior management to ensure communication initiatives support business objectives and enhance the organization’s reputation.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine communication strategies based on market trends, stakeholder feedback, and business needs.

Manage Media Relations:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, and industry influencers.
  • Proactively pitch stories and secure media coverage to increase the company’s visibility and thought leadership in the financial services sector.
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the company, effectively communicating key messages to the media and public.

Internal Communication and Employee Engagement:

  • Develop and implement internal communication programs to foster transparency, alignment, and engagement among employees.
  • Ensure timely and effective dissemination of company news, updates, and announcements through various internal communication channels.

Crisis and Issue Management:

  • Lead crisis communication efforts by developing proactive strategies and protocols to effectively manage and mitigate reputational risks.
  • Serve as the point of contact for media inquiries during crises or sensitive situations, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment with organizational values.

Content Creation and Brand Management:

  • Oversee the creation of compelling content for various channels, including press releases, website copy, social media posts, and marketing materials.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and brand voice across all communication touchpoints, maintaining brand integrity and relevance.


    • Proven experience of 8-10 years in corporate communications, public relations, or related roles, preferably within the financial services industry.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.


    The appointment will be on a contract basis with an initial term of 3 years, extendable based on need and performance.
