The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) set up the Innovation Hub (Termed: RBIH), to promote innovation across the financialsector. The Hub will leverage technology and help create an environment that would facilitate and foster innovation.

RBIH will collaborate with financial sector institutions, the technology industry, and academic institutions to coordinate efforts for the exchange of ideas and the development of prototypes related to financial innovation.

The Hub will help develop internal infrastructure to promote FinTech research and facilitate engagement with innovators and start-ups.


The RBIH Incubation Team is a key vertical responsible for ensuring the growth and acceleration in the fintech ecosystem. The team has launched several hackathons, co-incubation, and acceleration programs in partnership with top educational institutions, banks and industry bodies. RBIH is now seeking an experienced Incubation Associate to join their team to revolutionize the fintech startup ecosystem.


  1. Working to develop and expand the co-incubation programs with reputed incubators globally.
  2. Develop processes and ensure the implementation of the overall co-incubation structure and process with Incubation partners.
  3. Developing the database of Incubation partners and Mentor pool of RBIH.
  4. Host workshops, bootcamps, hackathons, events, etc.,regularly as part of the FinTech engagement, in coordination with other programs/projects of RBIH.
  5. Establish an effective relationship with all the stakeholders, including the Incubators, Mentors, startups, VCs etc.
  6. Creating roadmap journey of co-incubated startups and monitor their progress and growth.
  7. Conducting mentoring/workshop sessions of co-incubated startups with the mentors/experts.
  8. Will develop the SOPsfor onboarding the startups for Co-Incubation programs.
  9. Coordinating with Incubation partners to conduct demo day for the co-incubated startups.
  10. Connecting the co-incubated startups for pilot and POCs with Banks and other stakeholders with leveraging the RBIH projects team.
  11. Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in startup environment.
  12. General project administration and coordination as required.


  • At least 2-3 years of experience of working in the startup ecosystem with Incubators, Startups, VC’s and/or government bodies.
  • Prior experience in the banking or fintech sector is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Need to possess skills in managing Incubator or Incubate relationships.
  • Need to have good network in the entrepreneurial ecosystems.
  • Need to have the ability to work with diverse groups including businesses, entrepreneurs, major corporations, universities, the public and economic development organizations.
  • Need to have strong organizational, interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of various govt. schemes, incubation programs and other activities for supporting startups.
  • Knowledge of various funding institutions like VCs, Angel Investors, Govt. Grants, CSR would be added advantage.


Masters or bachelor’s degree in business or engineering preferably with a further degree or strong knowledge in Business, Management and/or Finance.

The applicant should be an Indian citizen, with a maximum age of 30 years as of December 31, 2023.


The appointment will be on a contract basis with an initial probation period of 6 months and extendable on mutual consent.
