Senior Product Manager

The Reserve Bank Innovation (RBIH), set up as a subsidiary of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), aims to foster and evangelise innovation across the financial sector to enable access to frictionless finance for a billion Indians. As part of its mission, the Hub leverages technology to foster innovation keeping the customer at the centre. The Hub utilises its unique position to accelerate technological innovation by facilitating meaningful collaboration between banks, innovators, entrepreneurs, fintech firms, startups, and other key stakeholders.

RBIH wants to recruit a senior product manager with a successful track record in software product development and lifecycle management. The Senior Product Manager will conduct market research and stakeholder consultations to understand the needs of the financial sector in terms of software products and services. The SPM will also closely work with the development team to develop solutions.

• Proven experience as a product manager.
• Ability to perform market research.
• Excellent communication and ability to communicate with external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with product management tools and technologies.
• Prior experience of at least 8 years of working in the financial sector.

• Product Strategy: Develop and execute the overall product strategy aligned with business goals. Drive innovation and contribute to the long-term vision of the product line.
• Roadmap Planning: Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap. Prioritize features and enhancements based on market trends, customer feedback, and business objectives.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of product initiatives.
• Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities, analyse competition, and stay ahead of industry trends. Use data-driven insights to make informed product decisions.
• User Experience: Advocate for a superior user experience. Collaborate with design teams to ensure product features are intuitive, user-friendly, and aligned with customer needs.
• Product Launch: Plan and execute successful product launches. Develop go-to-market strategies, coordinate with marketing teams, and ensure effective communication of product value propositions.
• Performance Analysis: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly analyse product performance. Use data to drive improvements, optimize features, and enhance overall product success.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of product managers. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages professional growth and development.

At least 8 years of IT product management experience, but not exceeding 20 years.

Graduate degree in Engineering from a leading university.

The appointment will be on a contract basis with an initial term of 3 months and extendable based on Project needs and individual’s Performance.
