Project Overview
15G/15H forms are income tax documents that need to be submitted by taxpayers to banks to avoid tax deductions on interest income if their income is below the basic exemption limit, a substantial portion of whom are senior citizens.
Given this, to prevent the need for senior citizens to physically visit bank branches, RBIH conceptualised a project to digitalise the process of filing 15G/15H forms to facilitate a convenient frictionless process. The solution was developed and successfully made live by five banks.
